Under supervision, configures and installs software; maintains and troubleshoots software and hardware; and maintains related documentation in accordance with core end-user technology standards.
Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university majoring in information technology, computer science or a closely related field. Substitution: Full-time paid experience managing and/or supporting desktop enterprise solutions may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A Microsoft MCITP, MCSE or VMware VCP certification related to desktop or client support may be substituted for one year of the required education.
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate academic specialty. One year of service with the District as an IT Support Analyst II, IT Support Analyst I, Systems Support Specialist II, Administrative Assistant, Administrative Specialist, Human Resources Assistant, Secretary or Senior Administrative Specialist. Civil service status in one of the foregoing classifications.
